Chronium Alchemy
Chronium Alchemy is the act of purifying, perfecting, and using the ore of Chronium. Those who study and use Chronium Alchemy are called Chronium Alchemists.
Chronium Alchemy is almost exclusively done within the region of Chronovora, as the ore, and use of Chronium Alchemy, is officially banned in nearly every other major region.
The use and distribution of Chronium is managed by the group known as the Temporal Council. Most Chronium Alchemists are apart of the Temporal Fellowship, which is governed by the Temporal Guild.

There is an old tradition of using Chronium like a drug. In order to climb the ranks of the Fellowship, you need to master the use of Chronium. If you want to be culturally accepted as a user of Chronium and be accepted into the Fellowship, you must go thru what is known as the Infusion Ritual. It is very dangerous and most people do not survive long after the ritual. Some Fellowship members think only ones chosen by the Temporal Council are fit for acceptance into the Fellowship. Upon successfully completing the ritual and being accepted into the Fellowship, individuals are given a crystalline tattoo, symbolizing both their affiliation with the Fellowship and their connection to Chronium.

Uses After Infusion
After successful infusion, one gains a “Temporal Sense”. It allows you to gain insight as to what will happen in the very near future around you. You also gain the ability to use Temporal Manipulation. Temporal Manipulation allows you to move time around you for a short time either way. Every use of this power puts you in debt, which will need to be “payed” back. You pay back by giving time from your life. The more you use Temporal Manipulation, the shorter you live. Borrowing too much time without paying it back can cause anomalies and paradoxes in your Temporal Senses. Those who do not have strong mental fortitude can also suffer from Temporal Corruption. It can lead to a gradual corruption of the users body and mind and may experience disorientation, memory lapses, and hallucinations. Some extreme cases can lead to Temporal Anchoring, where your mind gets stuck in a single moment in time. Most users who successfully survive infusion gain an addiction to Chronium.
